Indoor Junior Tennis Clinics

November 1, 2023 - March 21st, 2024

Holidays: Nov 22 & 23, 2023 & Dec 25-Jan 1, 2024

Make Up Week: March 25 - March 28, 2024

We offer 6 levels of classes; maximum on court ratio is 6:1.

BEGINNER TO ADVANCED CLASSES:

Tuesdays: 4:30-6:00pm      $1140

These classes will focus on building a solid foundation with footwork, correct grips and excellent technical stroke production. Students will be challenged with a combination of dynamic feeding and live ball drills, utilizing appropriate fun games to reinforce clinic lessons. Our goal is to ensure that each student has mastered the skill to execute each type of shot with excellent form. The importance of learning good fundamentals cannot be overstated. Good technique allows each student to continually improve, while poor technique limits their ability to achieve the higher levels of play.

TOURNAMENT DRILL CLASSES:

Tournament Drill 1

Mondays: 4:30-6:00pm     $1080

Players can rally and serve fairly well but need technical improvements on their stroke mechanics.  The clinic will include match play patterns for singles and doubles. Players are grouped by age and ability.

Tournament Drill 2

Thursdays: 4:00-6:00pm     $1500

This is a continuation of Tournament Drill 1, but players have more hitting and playing experience. The focus will be to improve consistency, and stroke mechanics. Match play patterns and tactics for singles and doubles will be taught. Players are grouped by age and ability.

NOTE: To assist with placement in the appropriate clinic, the student's playing experience background  should be provided. If there is a question, we recommend a 10-15 minute hitting assessment to determine the best fit.

Tournament Drill 3

Wednesdays: 4:00-6:00pm     $1500

This clinic is for the high school player or aspiring high school player with strong playing skills.  Players will continue to develop their consistency on all shots through live ball drilling. Each class will begin with a focus on a specific tactic or strategy through targeted drills. The remainder of the clinic will utilize live ball games that simulate match play.

FINAL WORDS:

At Yellow Dog Tennis, we focus on the entire game. Often we see players who train at local academies during the outdoor season and return to us with only a forehand to show for it. Having a big forehand is great, but if you lack a serve or volley, or cannot execute any of the other shots reliably, you're not playing tennis. Having a well rounded game is not only important during competition, but it makes the game of tennis a lot more fun!
