Serious Learning, Serious Fun!
Please note that the tennis "bubble" is an air structure that relies on a constant flow of air to keep the structure inflated. It is well ventilated and while we call it "indoor" tennis, as an air dome, it is not an "indoor" environment.
YELLOW DOG TENNIS NEWS
Hello Yellow Dog Tennis Pack Members!
I hope that this update finds you and your family well.
It has been a very hot July/August and Crewser and I are very much looking forward to cooler temps AND indoor tennis! Despite all of last year's challenges, we were thankful that our programming continued without any interruptions and the Junior players were able to leave the distractions behind once they stepped on the courts.
Both myself and my fellow coaches were pleased to see the level of enthusiasm the players exhibited and we were equally happy to lend to them some sense of normalcy and comradery during the school year.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Yellow Dog Tennis "Welcome!".
Our season will begin this year on November 1st.
We offer a very special brand of tennis instruction and it begins with our terrific and completely engaged staff. Our knowledge, energy, and enthusiasm for teaching tennis is unmatched in the metro area. We specialize in teaching the entire game (not just forehands and backhands) and we do it utilizing very unique drills and incredibly fun games. In a nutshell, whether your junior player is just starting out in tennis or is already on his/her high school team they will see tremendous improvement with us and will have a great time in the process!
If you have any concerns or questions, please email me at CoachPaulBress@gmail.com.

Coach Paul and the Yellow Dog Tennis Team

Indoor Junior Tennis Clinics
November 1, 2022 - March 23rd, 2023
Holidays: Nov 23 & 24, 2022 & Dec 24-Jan 1, 2023
Make Up Week: March 27 - March 30, 2023
We offer 6 levels of classes; maximum on court ratio is 6:1.
BEGINNER TO ADVANCED CLASSES:
Tuesdays: 4:30-6:00pm $975
These classes will focus on building a solid foundation with footwork, correct grips and excellent technical stroke production. Students will be challenged with a combination of dynamic feeding and live ball drills, utilizing appropriate fun games to reinforce clinic lessons. Our goal is to ensure that each student has mastered the skill to execute each type of shot with excellent form. The importance of learning good fundamentals cannot be overstated. Good technique allows each student to continually improve, while poor technique limits their ability to achieve the higher levels of play.
TOURNAMENT DRILL CLASSES:
Tournament Drill 1
Mondays: 4:00-6:00pm $1300
Players can rally and serve fairly well but need technical improvements on their stroke mechanics. The clinic will include match play patterns for singles and doubles. Players are grouped by age and ability.
Tournament Drill 2
Thursdays: 4:00-6:00pm $1300
This is a continuation of Tournament Drill 1, but players have more hitting and playing experience. The focus will be to improve consistency, and stroke mechanics. Match play patterns and tactics for singles and doubles will be taught. Players are grouped by age and ability.
NOTE: To assist with placement in the appropriate clinic, the student's playing experience background should be provided. If there is a question, we recommend a 10-15 minute hitting assessment to determine the best fit.
Tournament Drill 3
Wednesdays: 4:00-6:00pm $1300
This clinic is for the high school player or aspiring high school player with strong playing skills. Players will continue to develop their consistency on all shots through live ball drilling. Each class will begin with a focus on a specific tactic or strategy through targeted drills. The remainder of the clinic will utilize live ball games that simulate match play.
FINAL WORDS:
At Yellow Dog Tennis, we focus on the entire game. Often we see players who train at local academies during the outdoor season and return to us with only a forehand to show for it. Having a big forehand is great, but if you lack a serve or volley, or cannot execute any of the other shots reliably, you're not playing tennis. Having a well rounded game is not only important during competition, but it makes the game of tennis a lot more fun!
